Hello World!!

I’ve been thinking about starting a blog for some time, more specifically from January this year, and I have been postponing it for a plethora of different reasons, one of which being that I didn’t know what to write to get it started. So in the end, after no little amount of mulling over it I decided that if I don’t know what to start with I’ll start exactly with that.

So, why a blog?

One of the main reasons is that I tend to write, by hand, what I am doing while planning projects or learning new technologies or concepts but, I am a little chaotic. What translates to having more notebooks piled over things that any sane person should, so I thought that it would be a good idea to start writing in markdown, that’s better than plain text. And then I thought “if I’m already giving it a nice format, why don’t upload it somewhere? It’s not that much of an effort and someone may find it useful”. And so, here we are.

Why Astro?

I wanted something lightweight, so I could focus on the content and I have been wanting to try it for some time since I saw a couple of sites built with it and gave an eye to the docs.

Also, I saw the theme I’m using while browsing Astro’s page and fell in love with the aesthetic, so that was another point in its favour.
